It is impossible to have legs in left 4 dead 2 without either compiling them into the weapon view model which makes you unable to use custom weapon skins, animations, etc or using sourcemod to hook a model to the player.

Even if you could connect, I don't think there exist anyone dumb enough to try and connect to risk getting them self banned, but this is the left 4 dead 2 community so. If you have sourcemod in your game files when the game launches, you will be unable to connect to valve servers because you will automatically be kicked for having tampered files. You cannot be vac banned by using sourcemod.
